Obama & widget banner

A remake of the famous Budweiser “Wassup” commercials from 1999-2002 is making the rounds at YouTube as a brilliant ad for Obama. It touches on unemployment, health care, the stock market, the war in Iraq and the environment, all in around two minutes. One of my all time favorite commercials is being re-used in a very cool way. Obama, everybody is using Youtube for their viral campaigns. If I was you and I would like to reach my audience fast I would take this video

and create a videobanner with a widget feature inside. Buy some media space, give it a push and then let the magic of widgets, youtube, twitter etc etc do the work for you. From paid media to earned media. I don’t think it will cost you any credibility. Great work Obama, now lets do some rich media campaigns.
